Electrician / Programmable Logic Controller (PLC)
Maintenance Department:
Maintenance Reports To:
Maintenance Supervisor Position Summary The Electrician/PLC Maintenance position is responsible for performing preventative, electrical, and general maintenance on CNC machines, welding equipment, and other production equipment. This position works closely with Production and Maintenance personnel to troubleshoot equipment issues, coordinate repairs, minimize downtime, and ensure equipment is operating safely and efficiently. Essential Duties, Skills & Abilities Work approximately 44-55 hours per week , as required by business needs. Communicate with machine operators to identify and troubleshoot equipment and operational issues. Plan, coordinate, and perform electrical additions, repairs, and modifications. Perform and document quarterly welder calibrations . Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on welding equipment. Conduct and document quarterly transformer cleanings . Coordinate scheduled equipment downtime with Production for repairs, preventative maintenance, and general maintenance. Conduct monthly inspections of wire rope and blocks on cranes and maintain inspection records. Perform daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual equipment inspections and maintain accurate records. Record, organize, and track equipment repairs and scheduled downtime. Assist with general maintenance responsibilities after primary job functions have been completed. Assist with preventative maintenance and repairs on other equipment as needed. Maintain an organized work schedule and effectively prioritize maintenance needs. Work effectively with Maintenance personnel, Production employees, and other departments. Demonstrate the ability to work independently, self-motivate, and proactively identify maintenance needs. Plan ahead and take a proactive approach to equipment maintenance and repairs. Use a voltage meter and demonstrate a basic understanding of electrical circuitry. Operate cranes and forklifts safely. Perform minor equipment repairs and adjustments. Demonstrate basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance. Perform air arc operations and use MIG welding and cutting equipment. Perform general steel fabrication as needed. Have experience with pipefitting and plumbing repairs . Provide and maintain the basic tools required to perform the job. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment. Required Training & Experience Minimum of one year of relevant maintenance experience . Must have or obtain required training in: Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) Aerial Lift Fall Protection Confined Space Ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical equipment. Ability to work collaboratively while also handling responsibilities independently. Ability to prioritize work and respond effectively to equipment issues and production needs.

Reading electrical drawings is an important part of this position. How comfortable are you reading electrical schematics and wiring diagrams? What electrical and basic hand tools are you comfortable using?
