Job Description

Header Job Summary Join our dynamic educational team as a Part-time Electrical Trades Instructor, where you will inspire and empower students by delivering engaging, hands-on instruction in electrical systems and related technical skills. This role offers an exciting opportunity to share your expertise in electrical work, manufacturing, construction, and maintenance while fostering a diverse learning environment. You will prepare students for successful careers by designing comprehensive curricula, utilizing modern educational technologies, and providing practical training aligned with industry standards. Your passion for teaching and technical proficiency will help shape the next generation of skilled trades professionals. Header Duties Deliver engaging classroom and online instruction on electrical systems, including wiring, circuitry, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), HVAC/R, automotive diagnostics, plumbing, hydraulics, and aircraft maintenance. Develop and update curriculum materials to ensure alignment with industry standards and incorporate innovative teaching methods such as course design and educational technologies like Blackboard. Assess student progress through evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and support diverse learners from various cultural backgrounds. Maintain a safe learning environment by adhering to OSHA standards and promoting safety protocols during all instructional activities. Collaborate with full-time faculty to improve course content and contribute to program development efforts. Utilize computers and other educational technologies effectively to enhance online instruction and classroom training experiences. Header Experience Proven experience working in electrical trades within manufacturing, construction, HVAC/R, automotive repair, or aircraft maintenance sectors. Demonstrated ability to teach technical skills such as electrical wiring, PLC programming, hydraulics, HVAC systems (including HVAC/R), plumbing, welding, automotive diagnostics, and mechanical knowledge. Experience working with students from diverse cultural backgrounds to foster inclusive learning environments. Strong knowledge of curriculum development and course design tailored for technical trades education. Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and experience implementing safety protocols in training environments. Pay:
$30.00 per hour Expected hours: 5.0 - 25.0 per week
