As our company continues to grow, we're looking for a Residential Energy Modeler to join our team and play a key role in helping certify newly built homes for energy code compliance and performance. As a Residential Energy Modeler, you will create and maintain residential energy models by entering and verifying detailed construction information from architectural plans, specifications, and data collected by our field technicians. Your work will directly impact the accuracy of our certifications and the success of our builder partners. Previous experience in residential energy modeling, construction, drafting, or design is a plus, but are not required . We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, analytical, eager to learn, and committed to producing high-quality work. We provide the training necessary to help you succeed. Attention to Detail Consistently enters and verifies data with a high level of accuracy while maintaining an efficient rate. Organization Effectively manages multiple projects, deadlines, emails, and competing priorities. Analytical & Mathematical Thinking Comfortable solving problems, visualizing structures in three dimensions, and applying mathematical concepts. Problem Solving Thinks critically, adapts to changing situations, and finds practical solutions to challenges. Communication Communicates clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing. Comfortable collaborating with builders, subcontractors, and internal team members. Teamwork Works well with others while also taking ownership of individual responsibilities. Technology Skills Comfortable learning and using modeling software, spreadsheets, and other technical tools. (Training provided.) Self-Motivation & Time Management Manages workload independently, prioritizes tasks effectively, and consistently meets project deadlines. Primary Responsibilities Create accurate residential energy models for new construction homes. Organize and prepare floor plan templates to begin the modeling process. Complete and verify final energy models to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements. Review architectural plans, specifications, and field data for completeness and consistency. Research HVAC equipment, utility requirements, and building science topics to support accurate modeling. Track project progress, identify issues, and maintain organized documentation. Analyze modeling data to identify trends and opportunities for process improvements. Communicate with builders and their teams regarding recurring issues and recommend solutions to improve energy performance and project efficiency. Collaborate with our field technicians and other team members to ensure accurate and timely project completion. Continuously improve personal workflows and contribute to the development of efficient team processes. Pay /
Benefits:
4 Day Work Schedule, Monday thru Thursday We believe a four-day workweek is a benefit earned through performance, not entitlement. While you're paid for a full 40-hour week, our expectation is that everyone works hard, thinks critically, and continually looks for ways to improve efficiency so we can accomplish more in four days than most do in five. $20 and above based on industry experience - pay increases available with additional certifications Paid Time Off We encourage a healthy break away from work to rest, re-energize, and reconnect with family and friends thus we have a minimum vacation policy of three weeks per year.
