Job Description Overview The Training Engineer supports the development and delivery of asphalt pavement training programs, technology transfer activities, and research implementation efforts. This position is intended for an early-career engineer with strong communication skills and an interest in becoming a national leader in asphalt pavement technology and education.

AU Formal Title:

NCAT Engineer Responsibilities Develop and deliver classroom, virtual, and field-based training programs. Assist with the creation and maintenance of technical presentations, manuals, and student exercises. Travel nationally to support training and outreach efforts. Translate NCAT research findings into practical implementation guidance. Support webinars, workshops, conferences, and outreach events. Participate in NCAT Test Track technology transfer activities. Provide technical assistance to agencies, contractors, consultants, and industry partners. Assist with the development of online and video training content. Contribute to technical reports, articles, and implementation resources. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Level I

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering degree or related fields. Level II
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering degree or related fields and 2 years of experience in engineering and research practices and principles. Experience must include at least 2 years at the preceding level or equivalent. Level III
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering degree or related fields and 4 years of experience in engineering and research practices and principles. Experience must include at least 2 years at the preceding level or equivalent. Level IV
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering degree or related fields and 6 years of experience in engineering and research practices and principles.

Experience must include at least 2 years at the preceding level or equivalent.

SUBSTITUTIONS ALLOWED FOR EXPERIENCE

Yes, When a candidate has the required education, but lacks the required experience, they may normally apply additional appropriate education toward the experience requirement, at a rate of one (1) year relevant education per year of required experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
