Develop and implement strategies to minimize carbon emissions throughout the manufacturing lifecycle. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainability practices into daily operations. Conduct comprehensive assessments of our current carbon footprint from manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for reduction. Research, evaluate, and recommend clean energy technologies suitable for our manufacturing processes. Implement and manage clean energy solutions to reduce reliance on conventional energy sources. Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in clean energy to continuously improve our practices. Analyze existing manufacturing processes to identify areas for efficiency improvements and waste reduction. Implement sustainable practices and technologies to enhance overall energy efficiency. Collaborate with production teams to ensure smooth integration of sustainable practices without compromising productivity. Help establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor the success of sustainability initiatives. Generate regular reports on energy consumption, carbon emissions, and other relevant metrics. Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to drive continuous improvement. Research and analyze sustainability and ESG trends among peers, clients, and other stakeholders-share creative ideas of how to integrate/improve program. Evaluate sustainable packaging materials, sourcing of materials, and correlating economic, market, technical, operational, and other impacts. Conduct environmental studies and prepare associated sustainability documentation (e.g., feasibility studies, value engineering) of basic to high complexity. Participate in the development of sustainability and mitigation plans. Meet with cross-functional teams to discuss recommendations and to implement plans. Up to 10% of domestic and international travel required.
Minimum Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor's degree or foreign degree equivalent in Environmental Engineering, Sustainability Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
Experience:
Two (2) years of experience in job offered, Energy Engineer, or in a related occupation.
