Full Job Description Description:
Kanak Naturals is seeking an experienced, hands-on Quality Assurance Engineer or Quality Manager to support and strengthen our quality systems for the production of sustainable single-use dinnerware products. This role is ideal for a quality professional who enjoys building processes, solving problems, driving continuous improvement, and working directly with teams to implement practical solutions. The successful candidate will oversee quality management systems, support customer and supplier quality initiatives, participate in new product development efforts, and lead the hands-on implementation of quality and operational improvements. This position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact in a growing organization while maintaining a flexible work schedule. Key Responsibilities Maintain and improve the Quality Management System (QMS), procedures, and work instructions. Develop and monitor quality standards for sustainable single-use dinnerware products. Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) activities related to product and process issues. Analyze quality performance metrics and identify opportunities for continuous improvement. Manage customer quality concerns and implement effective corrective actions. Partner with production, engineering, and leadership teams to improve product consistency and manufacturing efficiency. Establish quality controls for incoming materials, in-process production, and finished goods. Support supplier quality management, evaluations, and performance improvement initiatives. Prepare and present quality reports, trends, and recommendations to management. Participate in new product development activities, including design reviews, material evaluations, prototype testing, validation plans, and commercialization efforts. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality and manufacturability are integrated into all new product introductions. Lead and actively participate in the hands-on implementation of quality, process, and operational improvements. Identify opportunities to improve product quality, reduce waste, increase efficiency, and enhance customer satisfaction. Provide coaching and support to production teams to ensure new processes and quality controls are effectively adopted and sustained.
Requirements:
Minimum of 10 years of experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Engineering, or Quality Management within a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of quality management systems and continuous improvement methodologies. Proven experience conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
