Job Description

Job Summary Omega Thermal Solutions Group is seeking an experienced Mechanical CAD Drafter/Manager to assist and lead our drafting and design operations. You will bridge the gap between engineering and production by setting CAD standards, mentoring a team of designers, and optimizing our design-to-manufacturing workflows.
Job responsibilities:
  • Lead, train, and evaluate a team of CAD drafters and mechanical designers to maximize their productivity and career growth.
  • Develop, implement, and enforce CAD standards, templates, and best practices across all projects.
  • Manage and evaluate CAD software, computers and printers.
  • Analyze design workflows and implement process improvements to reduce development and fabrication times.
  • Oversee drawing accuracy, manufacturability, shipping and compliance with industry codes and client specifications.
  • Coordinate with Mechanical Engineers, Project Managers, and manufacturing teams to ensure deliverables meet project milestones and budget constraints.
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in mechanical CAD drafting/design, with supervisory or management role experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • Advanced, hands-on expertise in SolidWorks.
  • Deep understanding of mechanical design and fabrication principles.
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to manage time, schedules, and multiple projects simultaneously.
Pay:
$80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
