The Engineering Lead will provide personnel, project, and technical leadership for the RET team supporting the reverse engineering and replication of UAS threats. The role requires a strong engineering foundation and the ability to understand technical challenges, engage effectively with engineers and Government stakeholders, and leverage multidisciplinary expertise to requirements. The Engineering Lead will establish priorities, align resources, and oversee engineering efforts from requirements through design, integration, testing, and delivery.
Responsibilities:
Lead a multidisciplinary team of mechanical, aerospace, electrical, software, and CT/NDT engineers.
Partner with Government stakeholders to understand requirements, establish priorities, and develop execution strategies.
Align engineering personnel and technical expertise to multiple concurrent projects.
Provide project oversight across reverse engineering, design, prototyping, integration, testing, and delivery.
Facilitate technical discussions and design reviews, ensuring appropriate subject matter experts are engaged.
Manage schedules, resources, technical risks, and project execution.
Provide personnel management, mentorship, performance management, and professional development.
Coordinate with manufacturing, integration, flight operations, logistics, procurement, and other supporting functions.
Communicate project status, technical challenges, risks, and resource requirements to Government and program leadership.
Qualifications:
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related engineering or technical discipline.
8+ years of technical experience with at least 3 years of relevant engineering management.
Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering or technical teams.
Demonstrated people and project management experience.
Broad understanding of engineering development processes and the ability to effectively engage technical specialists across multiple disciplines.
Experience managing multiple concurrent engineering projects and competing priorities.
Strong customer-facing, communication, and organizational skills.
Experience working with Government or DoD customers and technical stakeholders.
Active DoD Secret clearance.
Desired:
Master's degree in engineering, engineering management, or related discipline.
UAS, aerospace, defense, reverse engineering, or threat-replication experience.
SolidWorks or similar CAD experience with the ability to review engineering models and drawings.
Experience with prototyping, manufacturing, CT/NDT, or multidisciplinary system integration.
Experience working in an integrated Government/contractor engineering environment.

Pay Range:
T are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
