Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Director of Engineering to lead the planning, construction, and operational readiness of critical infrastructure projects. This executive-level role is responsible for delivering capital projects from concept through commissioning, managing contractors and engineering teams, and ensuring infrastructure is built, maintained, and operated to the highest standards of quality, safety, reliability, and efficiency. The ideal candidate combines strong construction leadership, technical expertise, and project execution skills with the ability to build and lead high-performing teams. Key Responsibilities Construction & Project Delivery Lead the planning, design, construction, and commissioning of infrastructure projects. Manage general contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and vendors throughout the project lifecycle. Oversee capital projects, including new builds, expansions, and infrastructure upgrades. Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality and safety standards. Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and risk mitigation plans. Infrastructure Operations Oversee the reliability, maintenance, and performance of physical infrastructure assets. Establish engineering standards, maintenance programs, and operational best practices. Monitor performance metrics and proactively resolve infrastructure issues. Manage vendor relationships and critical equipment providers. Leadership & Collaboration Lead, mentor, and develop engineering and technical teams. Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement. Partner with executive leadership to align engineering initiatives with business objectives. Represent the organization in technical discussions with customers, contractors, and regulatory stakeholders. Success Measures Success in this role will be measured by: On-time project delivery Budget and cost management performance Engineering team retention and development Resolution of critical infrastructure issues Infrastructure reliability and operational performance Qualifications Experience 8+ years of experience in construction management, facilities engineering, infrastructure, or related fields. Minimum 3 years in a leadership role. Proven success delivering large-scale projects on time and within budget. Experience managing contractors, vendors, and cross-functional teams. Data center, mission-critical, industrial, utility, telecommunications, or similar infrastructure experience is highly preferred. Technical Skills Strong knowledge of power distribution, mechanical systems, cooling infrastructure, and structural construction. Familiarity with building codes, permitting processes, and regulatory compliance. Proficiency with project management tools such as MS Project, Procore, Primavera P6, or equivalent. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and construction documents. Education Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Master's degree and/or PMP certification preferred. Language Requirements Bilingual English and Spanish required. Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
