Job Summary The Mechanical Project Manager / Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates, detailed takeoffs, and project proposals for commercial mechanical construction projects involving plumbing, piping, sheet metal, and HVAC systems. This position manages projects from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring they are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the satisfaction of the customer. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Prepare detailed cost estimates, bid proposals, and quantity takeoffs for plumbing, piping, sheet metal, and HVAC projects. Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents to determine project requirements. Solicit, evaluate, and negotiate subcontractor and supplier quotations. Develop project budgets and assist in forecasting labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor costs. Compile and analyze actual project costs and compare them against budgets and estimates. Coordinate project activities to ensure milestones, schedules, and deadlines are achieved. Communicate regularly with company leadership, customers, contractors, vendors, and project teams regarding project status and key deliverables. Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned projects and facilitate collaboration among all stakeholders. Monitor project progress, quality, safety, and financial performance throughout the project lifecycle. Manage project changes, including change orders, scope modifications, schedule adjustments, and budget impacts. Conduct project closeout activities, including post-project evaluations and lessons learned. Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, subcontractors, and industry partners. Attend job site visits, preconstruction meetings, and project progress meetings as required. Additional Responsibilities Collaborate with design, engineering, field, and operations teams to support project success. Perform other duties as required. Required Skills and Abilities Strong knowledge of mechanical construction systems, including plumbing, piping, sheet metal, and HVAC. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and contract documents. Proficiency in quantity takeoffs, estimating, budgeting, and project scheduling. Strong analytical, organizational, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Commitment to maintaining a safe, drug-free workplace. Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred. Equivalent combination of education, trade experience, and industry knowledge may be considered. PMP certification is a plus. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in construction project management, mechanical estimating, or a related field preferred. Experience in commercial mechanical construction strongly preferred. Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record. Physical Requirements Prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer. Ability to visit active construction sites and navigate varying site conditions. Occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds. Pay:

$80,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
