Trident Biohazard Remediation is a family-owned and operated specialty cleaning and restoration company serving the greater Sarasota, Bradenton and Tampa Bay areas. We provide discreet, compassionate and professional assistance to families, property owners and businesses during difficult situations. Our services include trauma and crime scene cleanup, unattended death cleanup, accident cleanup, hoarding remediation, biohazard removal, odor remediation, specialty cleaning and related property cleanout services. We are building our team from the ground up and are looking for dependable people who want the opportunity to grow with us. The Position We are seeking a reliable, hardworking Biohazard Remediation Field Technician to assist with specialty cleaning and remediation projects. This is not a traditional cleaning position. Some jobs involve physically demanding work and exposure to unpleasant environments, strong odors, bodily fluids, blood, insects, severe clutter and emotionally difficult situations. Other projects may involve property cleanouts, furniture and debris removal, odor remediation and general specialty cleaning. Professional training and appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided. Responsibilities Assist with biohazard, trauma and specialty cleanup projects Remove and properly package contaminated materials Clean, disinfect and deodorize affected areas Assist with hoarding and property cleanouts Move furniture, debris and other heavy materials Set up containment areas and remediation equipment Wear required PPE and follow established safety procedures Maintain and clean equipment, vehicles and supplies Document job progress when required Treat customers and their property with compassion, discretion and respect Maintain strict confidentiality regarding every job What We're Looking For We care more about reliability, work ethic and character than having previous biohazard experience.
Ideal candidates will:
Be dependable and able to respond when scheduled/on call Be comfortable performing physically demanding work Be able to lift approximately 50-75 lbs Be comfortable working in PPE for extended periods Have reliable transportation Have a valid driver's license and clean/reasonable driving record Be comfortable entering difficult or unpleasant environments Follow instructions and safety procedures carefully Be respectful and compassionate when interacting with families Maintain confidentiality Work well independently and as part of a small team Construction, restoration, demolition, moving, junk removal, remediation, military, EMS, healthcare or similar hands-on experience is a plus, but not required. You will be responsible for executing biohazard cleanup procedures with precision, ensuring compliance with safety protocols, and providing exceptional customer service throughout every project. Responsibilities Respond promptly to emergency calls involving biohazardous material cleanup, including bloodborne pathogens, mold, asbestos, and other hazardous substances. Perform thorough cleaning and decontamination of affected areas using appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and respiratory protection devices. Conduct water damage restoration, flood recovery, fire damage cleanup, and mold remediation projects utilizing industry-standard techniques and equipment. Operate company vehicles safely to transport tools, equipment, and personnel to job sites. Use hand tools, power tools, Xactimate (a property claims estimating software), and other restoration industry equipment efficiently to complete projects on time. Adhere strictly to safety protocols and industry regulations during all phases of remediation work to ensure personal safety and client satisfaction. Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients about project scope, progress, and safety measures while maintaining professionalism at all times. Requirements Prior experience in the restoration industry or related fields such as construction or cleaning is highly preferred. Knowledge of emergency response readiness procedures and safety protocol adherence is essential. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting heavy equipment, working in confined spaces, and standing or walking for extended periods. Familiarity with the use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), respiratory protection gear, hand tools, power tools, and carpet cleaning equipment. Experience with mold remediation, asbestos abatement, fire restoration, flood recovery, water damage restoration, and related services is a plus. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members. Valid driver's license with experience operating company vehicles safely. Pay:
$25.00 - $31.10 per hour Expected hours: 8.0 - 20.0 per week
