Job Details Skills Summary Role Summary This role involves managing and maintaining critical facilities infrastructure for a highly secure aviation environment. The position requires overseeing physical systems, ensuring operational uptime, and supporting telecommunications installation and maintenance. The successful candidate will work primarily from a designated FAA location in Cleveland, OH, with regional travel to support multiple sites. This is a long-term assignment focused on safeguarding national airspace assets and infrastructure. Responsibilities Monitor, maintain, and optimize physical facilities, including generators, HVAC systems, racks, cabling, and site security, to ensure maximum uptime. Escort technical personnel and monitor visitors to protect sensitive equipment and restricted security areas. Lead installation, testing, and ongoing maintenance of telecommunications equipment such as switches, routers, and fiber-optic cabling. Oversee and troubleshoot critical power systems, including DC power, rectifiers, and battery backups, to ensure continuous operations. Review technical designs and contractor work for compliance with standards and regulatory requirements. Ensure adherence to safety and security protocols within the physical infrastructure and facilities management processes. Collaborate with vendors and stakeholders to optimize infrastructure performance and security. Maintain documentation related to system configurations, inspections, and maintenance activities. Participate in FAA suitability processes and support operational readiness during onboarding periods. Support short or long-term travel across the region, with expenses reimbursed, to assist multiple locations as needed. Qualifications U.S. Citizen able to obtain and maintain FAA suitability clearance. Minimum of 8 years of experience in facilities engineering or management. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience (additional 4 years). Strong knowledge of HVAC, power distribution, cabling standards, and building infrastructure systems. Proven experience reviewing technical designs and contractor compliance. Understanding of safety, security, and regulatory standards for critical infrastructure. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Familiarity with physical security standards for facilities. Ability to work on-site in Cleveland, OH, with regional travel. Must be available for long-term assignment support.
Publishing Pay Range:
$46.00 - $51.00 hourly This position is based in office and requires employee to work on-site.
