Pay Range:
$55/h- $65/h; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. Maintenance Project Engineer (Contract) We are seeking a hands-on Maintenance Project Engineer to lead facility, infrastructure, maintenance, and safety-related projects within an industrial manufacturing environment. This individual will be responsible for managing projects from concept through completion, including project scoping, engineering design, specification development, contractor management, and on-site execution. The successful candidate will work closely with Maintenance, Engineering, EHS, and Operations teams to deliver projects that improve facility reliability, safety, and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities Define project scope, develop technical specifications, and prepare project plans. Obtain and evaluate contractor and vendor quotations. Coordinate project activities with internal stakeholders, including Maintenance, Engineering, EHS, and Operations teams. Lead and supervise external contractors and vendors on-site to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. Manage facility and infrastructure projects, including: HVAC systems Plumbing systems Building and facility upgrades Safety improvement initiatives Preventative maintenance projects Monitor project progress, resolve issues, and ensure compliance with company and regulatory safety standards. Support continuous improvement initiatives related to equipment reliability, facility maintenance, and operational performance. Maintain project documentation, schedules, and reports. Qualifications Bachelor's degree, Associate degree, or technical degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Technology, Maintenance Engineering, or a related field preferred. Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in maintenance, facilities, mechanical, controls, or project engineering within an industrial or manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of facility systems, including HVAC, plumbing, building infrastructure, and industrial maintenance practices. Experience coordinating contractors, vendors, and multi-disciplinary project teams. Proven ability to execute projects from planning through commissioning and closeout. Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Work Environment Full-time onsite position. Hands-on role requiring regular presence on the manufacturing floor and direct interaction with contractors, maintenance personnel, and operations teams.
