The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for driving operational excellence through Lean manufacturing, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), and structured problem-solving methodologies. For yourself, for the company, and for our planet. your challenge Analyse manufacturing processes and equipment performance using Lean tools, root cause analysis, and data analytics to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities, focusing on Single-Minute exchange od Dies (SMED), AM/PM implementation...etc Lead and facilitate continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen events, value stream mapping, robots / machine integrations and daily management activities) to enhance safety, quality, delivery, cost, and innovation metrics including Mean Time To Repair (MTTR), Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) and spare parts availability. Develop and implement Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) programs to improve equipment reliability, uptime, and preventive maintenance effectiveness. Leads Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) to drive machine uptime, focusing. Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and CNC machining systems using diagnostic tools, technical documentation, and engineering methodologies. Utilize software tools such as ERP systems, maintenance management systems (CMMS), and data analysis platforms to track performance metrics and maintenance activities. Lead root cause investigations using methodologies such as 5 Whys, Fishbone diagrams, and corrective/preventive action systems (CAPA). Identify, prioritize, and manage improvement projects, including automation, process optimization initiatives and robot applications development / integration, ensuring measurable results. Evaluate and improve production workflows through time studies, process mapping, and waste elimination strategies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, production, quality, and maintenance to implement sustainable improvements. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare reports to communicate progress and results to plant leadership. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a safe working environment through risk assessments and adherence to PPE requirements. May supervise or lead cross-functional project teams and provide technical guidance to maintenance technicians and production staff. requirements 5+ years of maintenance engineering experience in a manufacturing environment, with a strong focus on industrial controls, automation, and troubleshooting. Hands-on experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar platforms), HMIs, VFDs, servo systems, and industrial networks. Minimum 3 years of experience supporting and optimizing automated manufacturing equipment and control systems. Strong analytical, root cause problem-solving, and technical troubleshooting skills. Proven ability to diagnose and resolve electrical, controls, mechanical, and automation-related equipment issues. Experience leading continuous improvement initiatives and applying Lean Manufacturing principles to improve equipment reliability, uptime, and maintenance effectiveness. Ability to manage multiple priorities, influence change, and collaborate effectively with production, engineering, and maintenance teams. Experience with preventive, predictive, and reliability-centered maintenance programs. Knowledge of electrical systems, schematics, control panels, sensors, robotics, and machine safety standards. Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to mentor technicians and drive sustainable process improvements. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechatronics, or a related field preferred. Experience with machining equipment, CNC controls, robotics, and automated production systems preferred. Operate high-volume machining in a manufacturing setting requiring proper use of PPE (personal protective equipment).
Including but not limited to:
CNC machining centers, transfer machines, EMCO equipment, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and an active tool room Ability to sit, stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday. Occasional lifting of materials or components up to 55 pounds Exposure occasionally to a manufacturing environment that may include noise, temperature variations and moving equipment. Required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, steel-toed boots, gloves, hearing protection, and respirators when applicable. Maintain a stable, safety-focused manufacturing environment with a strong emphasis on operational excellence, reliability, and continuous improvement. Ability to respond to alarms and emergencies in a fast-paced industrial setting. Clear verbal communication skills to coordinate with all departments, vendors and colleagues. Specifically, upper intermediate (B2) language level in English. Ability to communicate effectively with employees, leaders, vendors, and visitors in office, production, and warehouse environments, including areas where background noise is present and hearing protection is required. Must be able to receive and exchange information necessary to perform the essential functions of the role and follow safety protocols in an industrial setting, with or without reasonable accommodation. travel requirements travel is not required for this role. compensation and benefits The salaried rate for this role is fair and decided upon based on experience and proven skills alignment through our interview process.
