$20.58 - $25.72 per hour About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented and eager-to-learn Engineering Technician to support a world-renowned, industry-leading technology innovator specializing in cutting-edge wireless communications and semiconductor technologies. This position focuses on providing critical technical assistance for Internal Test Equipment Systems (ITES). Partnering closely with Support Engineers, you will gain practical, hands-on skills in an advanced lab environment focused on RF, Linux, and TCP/IP networking. This role is ideal for individuals with foundational technical training or prior technician experience who thrive in a collaborative environment and excel at following precise diagnostic and operational procedures. Major Accountabilities System Setup & Maintenance Assist in the basic setup, configuration, and hardware verification of Internal Test Equipment Systems (ITES). Follow detailed instructions to perform routine maintenance tasks on Linux-based test systems. Manage basic RF cable routing, setup, and hardware verification for various test environments. Learn to identify common error messages and understand basic system behaviors. Troubleshooting & Support Document observations and exact steps taken during system troubleshooting processes. Perform accurate data entry and record-keeping related to IT support tickets. Escalate complex issues to full-time Support Engineers or Associate Support Engineers as directed. Participate actively in on-the-job training and seek clarification when needed to build technical proficiency. Safety & Operations Adhere strictly to all company safety protocols and lab operational guidelines. Maintain physical capabilities to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 35 lbs unassisted. Perform physical tasks requiring frequent bending, stooping, twisting, crouching, and standing for long periods.
Skills & Qualifications Required:
High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 2+ years of Engineering Technician or related experience; OR an Associate's degree and 1+ year of experience; OR a Bachelor's degree. Basic Linux command line usage and familiarity with GUI navigation or simple terminal prompts. Basic RF Fundamental knowledge, including RF terminology and spectrum analysis measurements. Fundamental computer hardware knowledge with the ability to identify components (e.g., CPU, RAM, hard drives, network ports). Exceptional attention to detail and meticulous record-keeping abilities. Proven ability to work cooperatively as a team player with clear communication skills. Must be able to physically push, pull, and lift up to 35 lbs.
Preferred:
Bachelor's degree in a technical field. Completion of a technical vocational program or military technical/trade school program. IT certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Linux+ Fundamentals. 2+ years of experience in a technical support, engineering tech, test tech, or IT-related role. IND2
