Role Description The Engineering Technician role is a full-time, on-site position based in San Antonio, TX. Daily responsibilities include performing field and laboratory testing on construction materials such as soil, concrete, and aggregates, following established standards and procedures. The Engineering Technician documents test results, prepares clear reports, and communicates findings to project managers and engineers. The Engineering Technician may visit various job sites, collect samples, and support quality control efforts to help clients meet project specifications and regulatory requirements. Qualifications Candidates should have a minimum of two years of construction materials testing experience. ICC certification in soils and concrete is highly preferred with additional field and laboratory certifications a plus. High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certificate or coursework in engineering, construction materials, or related field preferred. Ability to work on-site in varying outdoor conditions, lift and carry materials and equipment, and follow all safety guidelines. Proficiency with basic computer applications for data entry and report generation; familiarity with engineering or testing software is a plus. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for travel to local job sites as required. Ability to work at job sites with overnight stays out of town is a plus.
