Woodridge, Illinois job type: Contract salary: $48 - 50 per hour work hours: 8am to 5pm education: Bachelors responsibilities: Failure Analysis & Troubleshooting (50%)Conduct in-depth lab-based diagnostics on returned hardwareSupport manufacturing issues on the production lineIdentify root causes using analog and digital simulation tools.

Develop and implement design changes to address identified issues.

Utilize industry standard methodologies for analysis and reporting such as 8D.Obsolescence Redesign and Resolution (50%)Monitor and manage component lifecycle risks.

Propose and validate design updates to mitigate obsolescence.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate and integrate solutions.

Customer & Supplier CommunicationLead technical review meetings using PowerPoint presentations.

Clearly communicate failure insights and resolution plans.

qualifications:

Proven experience in hardware failure analysis and lab troubleshooting. Proficiency in analog and digital simulation software (e.g., SPICE, LTspice, Multisim, MATLAB/Simulink). Strong background in obsolescence management and component lifecycle planning. Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to lead meetings and convey technical findings to diverse audiences. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (Master's preferred).
