Mid-Level PCB Designer

Job Description

USA Firmware is seeking a Mid-Level PCB Designer to join our growing engineering team. In this role, you will work alongside electrical, firmware, software, FPGA, and mechanical engineers to develop complex printed circuit boards for innovative products across industrial automation, medical devices, defense, IoT, robotics, and commercial markets. You'll be responsible for PCB layout from concept through production using Altium Designer and Siemens PADS Professional while collaborating directly with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver manufacturable, high-quality designs. Requirements Design PCB layouts using Altium Designer and Siemens PADS Professional Convert electrical schematics into manufacturable PCB layouts Design multilayer PCBs (2-12 layers) Create and maintain PCB footprints, symbols, and component libraries Generate fabrication, assembly, and manufacturing documentation Perform DRC/ERC verification Apply IPC standards and DFM/DFA best practices Support Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) Collaborate with PCB fabricators and contract manufacturers Participate in design reviews with engineering teams Required Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering Technology, or equivalent experience 3-7 years of PCB layout experience Proficiency with Altium Designer Experience with Siemens PADS Professional Experience designing multilayer PCBs Ability to create PCB footprints and schematic symbols Knowledge of PCB fabrication and assembly processes Ability to interpret electrical schematics Familiarity with IPC standards Strong communication and organizational skills Preferred ARM Cortex-M hardware Mixed-signal analog/digital designs USB Ethernet
