Safety & Environmental Engineer Armament Systems Elk River, MN is currently seeking a Principal (Level 3) Safety & Environmental Engineer/ to be part of our Environment Health & Safety team. The home location would be the Elk River, MN facility. The site is a dynamic defense development facility that processes, assembles and tests military ammunition and munitions onsite. Our Elk River location consists of a 3,200 acre facility with over 30 active buildings. This role supports 1st shift operations on a 4/10 schedule. The Principal Safety & Environmental Engineer's primary focus will be on safety, however will also cross train to act as a backup and provide support as needed for environmental compliance related matters. They are responsible for facilitating hazard identification efforts, developing safety programs and systems to reduce and control safety risk and ensure compliance with general industry and other internal standards. This role involves providing support and collaboration with Operations, Facilities, Maintenance, Logistics and Engineering teams.
