Construction activities are unlimited and require the EH&S Engineer to have a broad range of technical and managerial expertise.
M i nimum candidate Accreditations
B a c helor's Degree in an Environmental Health and Safety Related field
Re c ognized Safety Professional Certification (examples)
BCS P (GSP or ASP)
D e s ired candidates will be able to demonstrate:

S u c cessful candidates must demonstrate the following experience and/or capabilities:
P e r form regular job site inspections to identify, document and recommend mitigation of hazardous/potentially hazardous conditions and verify correction actions have been completed.
Su p port incidents investigations to include interviews, data compilation, photographs and completing proper documentation.
Ev a luate various planning/permits such as: Hot Work, Confined Space, Fall Protection, Excavation, Steel Erection, Energized Work, Pre-cast Tilt-Up as examples for effective and appropriate mitigation techniques.
In d ustrial Hygiene principles and techniques involved in Hearing conservation, Lasers, Silica, Asbestos, Lead work, as examples.
Un d erstanding of fire protection, flammable/combustible materials storage/management.
Wo r king knowledge of OSHA Regulations

W o r king Conditions
W o r k is conducted in both indoor office settings, and outdoor constructions jobsite settings requiring sitting, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending.
Wo r k hours will be determined at the Project or work assignment basis.
No i se level varies based on location.
Oc c asional lifting of up to 40 lbs.
Oc c asionally will climb stairs, ladders, etc.
Ab i lity to wear personal protective equipment is required (including but not limited to, steel toed boots, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, hardhat, vest, etc.)
