Key Responsibilities Provide active safety oversight of construction, commissioning, startup, testing, qualification, and validation activities. Monitor field activities for compliance with applicable OSHA regulations, site-specific safety plans, client requirements, and company policies. Conduct routine site inspections and field observations to identify unsafe conditions, at-risk behaviors, and potential hazards, and ensure corrective actions are implemented. Participate in daily safety briefings, pre-task planning, Job Safety Analyses, Job Hazard Analyses, toolbox talks, and high-risk activity reviews. Verify that contractors and project personnel follow required safe work practices, use appropriate PPE, and comply with work-permit, access-control, barricading, and housekeeping requirements. Monitor high-risk activities involving Lockout/Tagout, energized work, hazardous energy, chemical handling, pressure testing, equipment startup, confined spaces, hot work, lifting operations, scaffolding, and work at heights. Verify that Lockout/Tagout and energy-isolation procedures are properly established and followed during equipment installation, commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting. Promote a proactive safety and quality culture through coaching, communication, hazard recognition, and continuous field engagement. Develop, review, and execute CQV protocols and supporting documentation, including FAT, SAT, IQ, OQ, PQ, validation plans, risk assessments, traceability matrices, turnover packages, and final reports. Support the commissioning and qualification of facility systems, utilities, process equipment, automation systems, and related infrastructure. Verify systems and equipment meet approved design specifications, user requirements, cGMP expectations, and applicable regulatory standards. Review engineering drawings, specifications, P&IDs, SOPs, vendor documentation, and other technical documents. Support system startup, testing, troubleshooting, operational readiness, and turnover activities. Identify, document, investigate, and resolve deviations, discrepancies, nonconformances, and punch-list items. Coordinate CQV activities with engineering, construction, operations, quality, maintenance, contractors, and equipment vendors. Maintain accurate, complete, and traceable documentation in accordance with Good Documentation Practices. Document and communicate CQV progress, safety observations, near misses, incidents, regulatory concerns, corrective actions, scheduling risks, and outstanding items. Exercise stop-work authority when an imminent hazard, serious safety concern, or regulatory violation is identified.
Pay:
$45.00 - $50.00 per hour
