Engineering Intern (12-Week Assignment) Clearwater Paper United States, Arkansas, Arkansas City 5082 Arkansas 4 (Show on map) Aug 12, 2026 Description Where you will work This opportunity will be based onsite at one of our three fully integrated mills, which includes Augusta, GA, Cypress Bend, AR or Lewiston, ID. The Augusta mill sits along the Savannah River, on the state border between Georgia and South Carolina and manufactures light, medium, and heavy weight coated paperboard. TheCypress Bend facility is in the historic Mississippi River Delta and produces bleached paperboard and bleached Kraft pulp, used in the production of folding cartons, commercial print paperboard, carded packaging, and cup stock. The Lewiston mill is the original Clearwater Paper manufacturing facility, producing paperboard products. Approximately two hours away from Clearwater Paper's headquarters in Spokane, Washington, the Lewiston paper mill is a key component in Clearwater Paper's business strategy. Key Responsibilities:

As an Engineering Intern at Clearwater Paper, you will have the exciting opportunity to work on value-adding projects and gain a general knowledge of manufacturing. Engineering Interns will work under the supervision of our Department Managers to develop, implement, and maintain our systems to meet business objectives and goals. You will be immersed in strategic projects to bring value to our business and gain knowledge of our manufacturing process. We provide intentional coaching and mentorship to support you during your time with us and help you learn all areas of the business. We value diversity through collaborative teamwork and sharing experiences. Combining training and hands-on experience, you will leave the internship with invaluable skills and industry knowledge. Partner with Clearwater Paper engineers to learn the paper-making process from creation to distribution Identify areas of improvement through strategic projects Collaborate with others including cross-functional leaders and team members What you will need To be successful in this position, we are looking for candidates with the following: Majoring in Chemical, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering with a 3.0+ overall GPA High attention to detail with strong organizational, troubleshooting, and analytical skills Effective oral and written communication skills, leadership experience, and self-motivation Industrial Environment - subject to extreme heat and cold Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be worn in the mill environment Noisy, dusty, and working around moving equipment Clearwater Paper will not offer sponsorship for employment-based visa status (including, but not limited to, H-1B visa status and other employment-based nonimmigrant visas) for this position.
