BS degree in an Engineering or Management field (Mechanical, Electrical, or Materials Science preferred). Supplier Quality experience. Lean Six Sigma training/certification. CQE (Certified Quality Engineer) or CQA certification preferred. Experience with p l astics, injection molding, packaging, metal components, and finished goods suppliers is helpful. Minimum 2 years of experience in supplier quality and quality assurance within a manufacturing environment.
Required:
Mandarin or Spanish Proficiency with PPAP, APQP, DFMEA, PFMEA, Gauge R&R, SPC/Cpk, Control Plans Demonstrated capability leading supplier quality engineering activities including audits, SCAR execution , and supplier performance management. Working knowledge of manufacturing processes including injection molding, mechanical assembly, fabrication, and electro-mechanical processes, with ability to interpret mechanical and electrical drawings and
GD&T. CQE/CQA
certification preferred . Lean/Six Sigma experience preferred; Six Sigma certification preferred. Bilingual Mandarin Chinese or Spanish preferred; ability to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally (passport and visa eligible).
Responsibilities:
Plan and conduct supplier audits , issue and manage SCARs through closure, and train suppliers on quality standards and expectations. Execute purchased product qualification activities (PPAP) and align design specifications with supplier process capability and controls. Partner with sourcing and purchasing to evaluate, monitor, and improve supplier performance using scorecards, metrics, and ongoing reviews. Support product development and cross-functional teams by ensuring APQP principles are applied and quality risks are identified and mitigated. Drive supplier and internal continuous improvement using ISO, SPC, Lean, and Six Sigma methods; support receiving inspection standardization and nonconformance investigation, disposition, deviations, and corrective actions.
