The Plant Engineer is responsible for supporting manufacturing operations through the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of plant systems, equipment, and processes. This role plays a key part in ensuring production efficiency, equipment reliability, and successful execution of capital projects within a dynamic manufacturing environment. The position works closely with operations, maintenance, and technical teams to improve system performance, troubleshoot issues, and support the installation and startup of new equipment and technologies.
ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Support the design, installation, and startup of manufacturing equipment and plant systems Assist with capital projects including equipment upgrades, facility improvements, and system expansions Improve production processes, material flow, and equipment performance Troubleshoot plant systems including utilities, pumps, valves, and automation systems Monitor system performance and identify opportunities for improvement Work with maintenance teams to improve reliability and preventive maintenance programs Analyze data to identify inefficiencies and implement corrective actions Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards Support continuous improvement initiatives across the plant
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, or related field required) Minimum of 5 years of experience in plant engineering or manufacturing engineering Experience in food, beverage, or process manufacturing preferred
SPECIALIZED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
Working knowledge of plant systems, utilities, and manufacturing equipment Experience with pumps, valves, piping systems, and processing equipment Familiarity with PLC systems and automation Understanding of heat exchange systems and utility management Knowledge of CIP systems and sanitation processes Basic knowledge of food safety, microbiology, and production standards Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
PREFERRED TECHNICAL SKILLS
Experience in food, beverage, or process manufacturing environments Exposure to capital project execution including equipment installation and system upgrades Experience supporting automation and process control systems in a manufacturing environment Familiarity with high-speed production or packaging environments preferred
WORKING CONDITIONS
This position operates within a manufacturing environment and requires regular presence on the plant floor. The role may involve exposure to noise, temperature variations, moving mechanical equipment, and standard industrial conditions. The position may require occasional travel between facilities and extended hours as needed to support production and project timelines.

Pay:
$90,685.63 - $120,000.00 per year
