About Our Client My client is a global leader in the manufacturing of advanced automated processing systems known for tackling technically challenging, highly customized industrial projects. Its engineering team works on large‑scale, diverse equipment builds, offering a stable environment with continuous opportunities for innovation. Job Description The Controls Engineer will report directly into the Engineering Manager and be responsible for: Develop, modify, and troubleshoot PLC programs for automated equipment and production systems. Support machine startup, testing, and commissioning activities. Assist with HMI development and control system integration. Troubleshoot electrical and controls-related issues during equipment builds and customer support activities. Work with engineers and technicians to implement design improvements and system upgrades. Support the creation and maintenance of electrical schematics, controls documentation, and software backups. Assist in continuous improvement projects focused on machine performance, reliability, and safety. Participate in equipment validation activities as needed. Apply today for immediate consideration! The Successful Applicant Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field. 2-5 years of controls, automation, or electrical engineering experience. Experience programming and troubleshooting PLC-controlled equipment. Allen-Bradley PLC experience preferred; experience with other PLC platforms will also be considered. Familiarity with HMIs, VFDs, servo drives, and industrial communication protocols. Ability to read electrical schematics and assist with system troubleshooting. Strong problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach to engineering. Ability to support occasional travel for equipment installation and startup activities.
