Process Engineer

Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Process Engineer to join our innovative manufacturing team. In this role, you will be at the forefront of optimizing production processes, enhancing efficiency, and ensuring quality standards are consistently met. Your expertise will drive continuous improvement initiatives across various manufacturing operations, including plastics injection molding, robotics, and industrial automation. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your engineering skills in a fast-paced environment dedicated to manufacturing excellence and technological advancement. Duties Develop, analyze, and refine manufacturing processes to improve productivity, quality, and safety. Utilize CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Creo to design and modify process layouts, schematics, and tooling. Implement and manage process improvement methodologies including Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement programs. Conduct root cause analysis to troubleshoot process issues and implement effective corrective actions. Program and maintain industrial automation equipment such as programmable logic controllers (PLCs), robotics, CNC machines, and vision inspection systems. Collaborate cross-functionally with design engineers, production teams, quality assurance, and maintenance personnel to optimize workflows. Manage project scheduling for process upgrades or new equipment installations while adhering to deadlines and budgets. Lead manufacturing engineering projects focused on tooling fabrication, assembly line optimization, and process automation. Analyze engineering data to identify trends, inefficiencies, or defects; develop strategies for quality improvement in accordance with
ISO 9001
standards. Support factory experience initiatives by implementing lean management principles and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Skills Extensive knowledge of plastics injection molding processes and industrial equipment operation. Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo for schematics and design work. Strong understanding of CNC programming (CAM), robot programming, welding techniques, and fabrication methods. Expertise in process engineering tools including root cause analysis, Six Sigma methodologies, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and lean manufacturing principles. Experience with industrial automation systems like PLCs, vision inspection systems, CNC machines, and industrial robotics. Ability to perform engineering troubleshooting across complex manufacturing systems efficiently. Skilled in project management with a focus on factory process upgrades or new line installations. Mechanical knowledge related to tooling design, assembly line setup, mechanical fabrication, and mechanical engineering principles. Familiarity with Schematics creation for electrical or mechanical systems; strong CAD skills for layout development. Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while driving continuous improvement initiatives.
