Suominen Bethune is looking for a Process Engineer to join our team in Bethune, South Carolina. This is more than a technical role. It's an opportunity to own processes, influence operations, drive continuous improvement, and work with people across the business . ????

WHAT YOU'LL DO

As a Process Engineer, you will: Design, develop and implement manufacturing processes and procedures focused on productivity, quality and cost . Develop and sustain robust process control systems for critical-to-quality variables. Provide hands-on technical support directly on the manufacturing floor . Troubleshoot equipment, tooling, materials and process issues and lead root cause analysis . Lead continuous improvement initiatives through the sPlus program . Use data, KPIs and process analysis to identify opportunities and drive better decisions. Support new processes, equipment, tooling and product development. Work closely with Quality, R D, Operations and Sales/Marketing . knowledge and learn from Suominen's global Best Practice networks . ????

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We're looking for someone who brings technical knowledge + curiosity + a bias for action .

You should have:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field. Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments. Knowledge of process engineering and process control. Experience with SPC and data analysis . Experience with Lean, Six Sigma or similar continuous improvement methodologies. Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills. Ability to work effectively across functions and influence without direct authority . Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills. Experience with tools such as Excel, PowerPoint and Minitab . Experience with ERP systems such as SAP. Experience with advanced process monitoring systems, supplier quality, or wetlaid nonwovens/papermaking is a plus. ????
