About the Company Daisuki Advanced Technology, Inc. is a New Jersey-based technology company specializing in the development and manufacturing of advanced infrared detectors and related components for scientific, industrial, and analytical instruments. Our products include precision detector packages, mechanical components, housings, and assemblies used in advanced scientific equipment. About the Position We are seeking a hands-on CAD / SolidWorks Design Engineer to create accurate 2D engineering drawings and 3D models of detector devices, packages, mechanical components, and assemblies. Applicants with strong hands-on experience creating detailed engineering drawings and SolidWorks models will be given priority. Primary Responsibilities Create detailed 2D CAD engineering drawings of mechanical parts, detector packages, housings, and components. Create and modify 3D SolidWorks models . Prepare accurate, fully dimensioned manufacturing drawings. Create assembly drawings and component drawings. Measure physical parts using calipers, micrometers, and other measurement tools. Convert physical components, sketches, or specifications into accurate CAD drawings. Add dimensions, tolerances, materials, notes, and other manufacturing information to drawings. Review and revise existing drawings when dimensions or designs change. Create drawings for custom components and prototype parts. Maintain organized CAD files, SolidWorks models, drawing revisions, and technical documentation. Work with engineers and manufacturers to make sure drawings are clear and suitable for production. Required Qualifications Hands-on experience with SolidWorks and CAD drawing creation. Experience creating accurate 2D dimensioned engineering drawings . Experience creating and modifying 3D SolidWorks models . Ability to create drawings from physical parts, sketches, photographs, or provided dimensions. Understanding of dimensions, tolerances, mechanical assemblies, and manufacturing drawings. Ability to accurately measure small mechanical components. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work independently and complete drawing assignments within agreed timelines. Preferred Qualifications Degree or technical education in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Design, CAD, Drafting, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field. Experience creating drawings for precision mechanical components. Experience with small electronic or detector packages such as TO-style packages, housings, caps, headers, or similar components. Experience preparing drawings for machining or manufacturing. Familiarity with GD&T is preferred. Experience with precision measurement tools such as calipers and micrometers. What We Are Prioritizing CAD and SolidWorks experience is the main priority for this position. Candidates with demonstrated experience creating the following will receive priority consideration: 2D mechanical drawings 3D SolidWorks models Dimensioned manufacturing drawings Assembly drawings Drawings created from physical components Precision component drawings Drawing revisions and updates Candidates may be asked to provide examples or a portfolio of previous CAD or SolidWorks drawings during the interview process.
Pay:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
