Manufacturing Engineer Posted on June 9, 2025 June 9, 2025 by JMJ Phillip We are seeking a detail-oriented and innovative Manufacturing Engineer to join our client's team. This individual will play a key role in optimizing production processes, improving manufacturing efficiency, and supporting quality standards across operations. The ideal candidate has a strong background in engineering principles, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity. Position Responsibilities Process Optimization Develop, implement, and improve manufacturing processes to increase efficiency and reduce waste Analyze production data to identify trends and implement corrective actions Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support continuous improvement initiatives Equipment & Tooling Support Evaluate and recommend new equipment, tools, and technologies Support installation, testing, and validation of manufacturing equipment Ensure all tools and machines meet performance and safety standards Quality & Compliance Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards Investigate and resolve manufacturing issues affecting product quality or timelines Support documentation and standard operating procedure (SOP) development Cost & Resource Management Work closely with supply chain and procurement teams to optimize material usage Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or performance Track project timelines and budgets for engineering activities Prerequisites Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role Proficiency with CAD software and manufacturing tools (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, FMEA) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities Certifications (Preferred, but not Required) Certified Manufacturing Engineer (CMfgE) Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt OSHA Safety Certification Professional Engineer (PE) License What the Role Offers Salary range between $80,000 and $90,000 30% placement fee Stable, full-time employment with growth potential Competitive benefits including health, dental, retirement plans, and paid time off Opportunity to contribute to process improvements and make a measurable impact Supportive and collaborative engineering team environment Why Lakewood?
