Job Description

The Role:
Our site in LeRoy, New York, is seeking a Continuous Improvement Engineer . The CI Engineer will play a critical role in driving lean transformation of the LeRoy factory. This individual will ensure that lean initiatives are designed and driven for success, implemented and sustained. As a key contributor to the production team, this Engineer will help assess processes and KPI's and ensure improvement roadmaps are defined, executed, and sustained. This role will also coordinate with the larger CI community to share best practices and utilize our global resources to drive productivity in a rapidly growing industry.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Facilitate Kaizen Events:
Work with process owners to facilitate kaizen activities with the goal of improving business processes, reduce waste, and improve operational lead times, ensuring proper resourcing and preparation for those events.
Improvement Project Management:
Plan and drive execution of improvement projects with a cross-functional team to streamline processes and eliminate waste. Ensure timely execution of projects and provision of deliverables to project sponsors.
Drive Cultural Change:
Help foster a culture of continuous improvement alongside Operations, Supply Chain, Maintenance, EHS, and Quality. Provide training and support to employees to adopt Lean methodologies, new digital tools and visual management processes.
Assess and Optimize Processes:
Aid production planning by establishing labor standards and identifying process routings that provide greatest operation efficiency.
Monitor and Measure Impact:
Establish metrics and KPIs to track the effectiveness of Lean and continuous improvement initiatives. Analyze data to identify trends and areas for further enhancement.
WHAT WE SEEK
Bachelor's degree in Industrial engineering, or related engineering disciplines Minimum of 5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment driving Lean methodologies across a large-scale and diverse manufacturing footprint Expertise in Kaizen Event facilitation and project management, including
SMED, 5S, VSM, TPM.
Experience with ERP/MES systems and data analytics tools. Proficiency with problem solving tools such as
RCA, 6M, 5
Why, and Force Failure trials. Familiarity with Toyota Production System is a plus.
Pay:
$90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
