The Forms Operator is responsible for building, inspecting, repairing, and reworking fuel cell forms and related components that do not initially meet Amfuel's quality standards or customer specifications. This position requires attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to follow engineering instructions, work instructions, and quality procedures to ensure products meet all safety and performance requirements before shipment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Construct fuel cell forms, assemblies, and components to identify defects, damage, or nonconforming conditions. Inspect fuel cell forms, assemblies, and components to identify defects, damage, or nonconforming conditions. Perform rework and repairs using approved manufacturing methods and engineering specifications. Remove, replace, or repair defective materials, hardware, coatings, and components. Apply adhesives, sealants, patches, and other materials as required during the repair process. Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, engineering drawings, and manufacturing instructions. Conduct visual and dimensional inspections before, during, and after repairs. Document all repair activities accurately in production records and quality documentation. Work closely with Quality Assurance, Engineering, and Production teams to resolve nonconforming product issues. Identify recurring defects and communicate trends to supervisors for continuous improvement. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area following 5S and company safety standards. Follow all OSHA, environmental, and company safety policies. Meet daily production goals while maintaining high quality standards. Participate in training and cross-training activities as assigned. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous manufacturing, assembly, repair, or quality experience preferred. Ability to read measuring devices such as rulers, tape measures, and calipers. Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions. Basic computer skills for documentation and production tracking. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Good communication and teamwork skills. Physical Requirements Stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and reach throughout the shift. Frequently lift and carry up to 35 pounds; occasionally up to 50 pounds with assistance. Use hands and fingers for repetitive fine motor tasks. Good vision, including close vision and color differentiation. Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE). Work Environment Manufacturing facility with exposure to machinery, adhesives, sealants, and industrial chemicals. May require overtime or weekend work to meet production schedules.
