Job Description
Experienced Plasma OperatorPenmac Staffing is now hiring an Experienced Plasma Operator for a local steel manufacturing company. This is a full-time opportunity for candidates with previous plasma cutting experience who are looking for a long-term job with a growing company. This position will begin on the day shift for training for several weeks before transitioning to the night shift. Candidates must be comfortable working nights after the training period is complete.
Requirements for the Experienced Plasma OperatorPrevious plasma cutting machine experience requiredAbility to read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and production specificationsBasic measuring and math skillsStrong attention to detail and commitment to qualityAbility to work independently and as part of a teamMust be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shiftMust be willing to submit to required pre-employment screeningsExperienced Plasma Operator ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate CNC plasma cutting equipmentLoad and unload steel materials safely and efficientlyMonitor machine operation to ensure quality production standards are metInspect finished parts and verify measurementsPerform basic machine adjustments and routine maintenance as neededMaintain a clean and organized work areaFollow all company safety procedures and production guidelines
