JOB SUMMARY
The Shipping and Receiving Associate is responsible for receiving, processing, storing, and shipping materials to support daily operations. This position ensures materials are handled accurately and efficiently while maintaining required documentation, inventory records, and shipping information. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively in a team environment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Mark, package, and prepare materials for shipment and proper storage. Process shipping and receiving transactions within the company ERP system. Prepare shipping documentation required for domestic and international shipments. Utilize and maintain customer websites and portals as required. Scan, file, and organize Certificates of Conformance (COCs) and related documentation within internal and external systems. Follow detailed work instructions to complete tasks accurately and efficiently. Perform basic inspections as needed. Conduct cycle counts and assist with inventory accuracy as needed.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or GED required. Two to five years of shipping and receiving experience. Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable navigating web-based customer portals. Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions with attention to detail. Ability to operate a forklift, pallet jack, and other equipment necessary to perform job duties.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to handle and feel material, as well as reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
