PRODUCTION SUPPORT TECHNICIAN CCB
Packaging, a locally owned leader in the packaging industry, is looking for a Production Support Technician to join our team! This position is responsible for overseeing all production activities and collaborating with various support departments to ensure that production processes run smoothly and efficiently while meeting deadlines and maintaining quality standards. Open positions are on 2nd and 3rd shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
Communication:
Serve as a liaison between production teams and other support departments. Promptly communicate any changes in schedules, materials, or deadlines.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of production activities, including work orders, inventory levels, and production output.
Quality Control:
Monitor production processes to ensure that products meet the required quality standards. Report any issues or discrepancies to the Production Manager/Supervisor.
Troubleshooting:
Identify and resolve any issues or delays in the production process. Collaborate with the team to implement solutions and prevent future occurrences.
Health & Safety:
Ensure that all production activities comply with company health and safety policies. Promote a safe working environment.
Continuous Improvement:
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency and effectiveness.
Reporting:
Generate regular reports on production metrics, such as productivity, efficiency, and quality. Present findings to management.
Training:
Work closely with Production Supervisor to identify training needs specific to each production team member. Provide ongoing support to new hires throughout their onboarding process. Weekend (Saturday)
Supervision:
Supervise staff, ensuring they are performing their duties effectively and addressing any questions or issues that arise.
Qualifications & Skills:
High school diploma or GED required; 2 or 4 year degree in Business Administration or a related field preferred. Minimum 2 years' experience in a Production or Manufacturing environment required; Prior experience in a leadership or supervisory role preferred. Knowledge of production processes and quality control principles. Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet time-specific deadlines. Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills (both verbal and written). Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and production management software. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Working Conditions:
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends. Physical ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 25 pounds.
