  • 2:30 am Our Janitorial & Production Waste Level 1 Tech is responsible for keeping the areas of Building 41 (Microwave) clean, orderly, and sanitized by performing the following essential functions:
Essential Functions:
Waste dumping using a lift Sweeping production floor to maintain a clean work environment Washing mats, trash cans, floor, etc. Clean and disinfect bathrooms (includes toilets, walls, sinks, sweep, mop, etc.) Stock and clean production room including windows, walls, stairways, surfaces, doors, etc. Garbage collection, dumping, and tracking Sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors and rugs Scrubbing and sanitizing sinks, washrooms, etc. Operating floor scrubber Dust edges, railings, door handles, etc. Keep all work areas clean including trash docks, production floor, corn bins, tank rooms, hallways, restrooms, breakrooms, locker rooms, warehouses, offices, etc. Blood clean up Completion of Paperwork
  • including but not limited to
  • Chemical Use Logs, Transfer Logs, Salt Logs, & Sign Out Inventory Sheets Outside trash removal and general cleanliness including spray downs and ashtray emptying And other duties as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. Previous sanitation experience a plus. Knowledge of cleaning products and interactions strongly encouraged. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
Skills and Competencies:
This role requires a positive attitude focusing on teamwork to collaborate with other team members to achieve production goals. Strong attention to detail is essential to ensure plant cleanliness to allow for production. Must have keen observation skills and attention to detail that will allow you to see the small details as well as the large details. Self-starter and ambitious personality needed to help succeed.
Language Ability:
Ability to read and comprehend instructions, regulations, correspondence and memos in English. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to understand and follow instructions.
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential responsibilities of this job. You will need to engage in tasks that involve climbing stairs, standing, mobility, walking, repetitive motion, pushing and pulling items, and lifting. This role requires twisting, bending and reaching during tasks. Climbing ladders and stairs is necessary to access certain work areas. This role requires adaptability to the changing demands of tasks and responsibilities. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 35 pounds and frequently lift/move up to 50 pounds.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous cleaning, sanitation, or food manufacturing experience preferred, but not required. Ability to perform basic math, including addition and subtraction, and accurately record measurements such as weight, volume, and distance. Ability to identify and resolve routine problems while working independently and following established procedures. Why work with
