Our client builds premium metal components and gear systems for OEM and industrial partners, and is adding a skilled Thermal Processing Technician to the 2nd shift team. A day on second shift Prepare work centers, set fixtures, and load steel components into heat-treat furnaces, quench presses, and part washers. Run established recipes and monitor setpoints, dwell/soak times, and cycle parameters in line with documented process specifications. Validate results through hardness checks and basic in-process quality inspections. Move parts, trays, and baskets safely using overhead hoists or other approved lift equipment. Capture accurate production counts and process data in the required records. Maintain an orderly area and adhere to all safety and housekeeping procedures. What helps you succeed 1+ year of heat treat or furnace operation is preferred; we will train a mechanically inclined learner. Ability to read and interpret work instructions as well as gauges and micrometers. Strong mechanical aptitude and dependable, reliable work habits. Comfort working in a hot industrial environment and ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Team-oriented mindset with careful attention to detail and safety.
