Responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting production machinery during the second shift. Serves as the working lead for a small team of operators, supporting workflow, enforcing safety and quality standards, and acting as the main point of contact for shift supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate and maintain assigned production equipment safely and efficiently in accordance with established procedures and schedules. Set up machines, perform routine adjustments, and ensure proper machine cleaning and maintenance.​ Perform regular quality control checks and document production data accurately. Lead and coordinate a small team of operators to maximize productivity and maintain steady workflow during the shift.​ Train new or less experienced operators in proper safety, quality, and operational practices.​ Enforce company safety standards; identify and address potential hazards or unsafe practices.​ Communicate effectively with other shifts and management regarding production status, issues, or equipment needs. Provide hands-on support in troubleshooting and resolving machinery or operational problems. Recommend and assist with process improvements for production efficiency and product quality.
Qualifications:
Prior experience operating production machinery in a manufacturing or industrial setting (3+ years preferred).​ Demonstrated leadership or team lead experience is highly desirable. Ability to read and interpret job orders. Basic computer and mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.​ Commitment to safety and quality standards. Effective communication and organizational skills.​ Willingness to work second shift and flex as needed for business demands.
Work Environment & Physical Demands:
Active presence on the manufacturing floor with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand, walk, and use hands and arms for operating machinery. Shift hours based on production schedules, which may include nights, weekends, and overtime.
Pay:
$20.00 - $22.00 per hour
