PAY:
$30-$32 an hour plus 15% shift differential pay and 10% monthly bonus potential Your Contribution as Manufacturing Technician Coordinates the production activities and assists the engineering staff and supervisor in troubleshooting, new product development, writing processes and other tasks as assigned. Assists in introducing new products into manufacturing. Assists in troubleshooting equipment, fixtures, tooling and technical issues. Monitors production and adherence to schedules, and monitors and coordinates the flow of material to and from the area. Submits work orders for the required tooling to be fabricated/repaired in machine shop and for non-scheduled maintenance and repairs. Calculates twist/stretch and temperature cycle parameters, sets up and performs machine stretching operations; Monitors stretch cycles, troubleshoots and adjusts machines during cycle as required. Performs inspection of image inverters and tapers as required. Troubleshoots cause of rejects and assists the supervisors and engineers in taking corrective action. Performs machine preventative maintenance according to the P.M. maintenance schedule. Rebuilds and prepares components for machine repair. Performs routine electrical and electronic maintenance. Maintains production and run parameter records, product identification and scheduling. Orders and maintains adequate inventory of parts and supplies. Performs all the functions of Twist/Stretch Operator A as assigned. Assists in writing/revising process specs and route sheets. Builds prototype samples and R&D parts. Inspects in process work to ensure quality and to verify proper procedures are being followed. Assists in training less qualified employees. Assists engineering personnel as required. Suggests improvements in equipment and procedures. Operates with minimal direct supervision. Maintains housekeeping practices per departmental 5S program. Able to meet utilization targets and standard times. Accurately enters Database/SAP transactions in the computer. Maintains daily records, including labor sheets and routers. Your Profile as Manufacturing Technician Minimum five (5) years' experience on the job or on a manufacturing field. Capable of providing technical support for the improvement and development of manufacturing products and processes. Computer proficiency and experience using Microsoft Office software. Must be able to read, write, and speak English. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Self-motivated and results oriented. Ability to work in a team-oriented environment. Good manual dexterity and hand/eye coordination. Due to the nature of work performed at this facility, US Person status is required.
