Alloy Production Technician Schedule:
Monday-Thursday Hours:
6:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. | 40 hours per week - 4-day workweek We are seeking a dependable, safety-conscious Alloy Production Technician to join our manufacturing team producing fusible alloys (low-melting-temperature metal alloys). This is a hands-on manufacturing position requiring employees to perform a variety of production operations, including melting, casting, extruding, cutting, inspecting, and packaging metal alloys using various types of manufacturing equipment. Primary Responsibilities Perform a variety of production duties, including: Accurately weigh raw materials and finished products according to production specifications. Steadily pour and regulate the flow of molten metal into molds and forms to produce billets, ingots, and other product forms. Operate various production machinery and equipment safely and efficiently. Use micrometers, calipers, scales, and other measuring equipment to verify product dimensions and quality. Inspect finished products to ensure they meet required specifications and quality standards. Operate a forklift to lift, move, and transport raw materials and finished products throughout the manufacturing process. Follow written production procedures and verbal instructions from supervisors. Follow all company safety procedures and properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE). Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area. Perform other production-related duties as needed. Qualifications & Requirements Previous experience in a manufacturing, production, industrial, or similar hands-on work environment is required. Must be capable of performing physical work throughout a 10-hour shift. Must be able to lift and handle materials weighing up to 50-75 lbs. Must have a steady hand and good eyesight for pouring molten metal and performing accurate production work. Must be able to accurately weigh materials and use measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers. Must be able to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions in English to ensure compliance with production procedures and workplace safety requirements. Must be comfortable working around industrial machinery and molten metal. Must be able to safely operate a forklift. Previous forklift experience is preferred. Must be dependable, safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and willing to perform a variety of manufacturing duties. Work Environment & Physical Requirements This position is performed in an active manufacturing environment and requires regular exposure to heat from melting pots, machinery noise, and dust. Raw material melting temperatures range from approximately 313°F to 621°F. Hearing protection is required at all times, and masks or respiratory protection are required during certain manufacturing processes. The position requires standing for extended periods and regularly involves lifting, carrying, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, and handling materials and equipment.
