The Manufacturing Technician is responsible for performing technical duties in one of the functional areas: electronic, mechanical or systems. The Manufacturing Technician complete tests, measurements, operations, and process controls.
Perform technical duties on functional work group projects.
Employ test techniques and procedures for key cell projects.
Use job packets, routings, work orders, wire lists, quality travelers, and bills of material.
Maintain production tools and equipment.
Perform troubleshooting to diagnose product, process or program defects and repair them.
Ensure ability to: read blueprints; identify components; perform wire preparation, stripping and crimping; perform harness repair and termination; use pertinent manual hand tools. Maintain skills in electronics, hydraulics and mechanical assemblies, automated machine operation, and programming.
Use the guiding principles and tools of the Manufacturing System to drive continuous improvement.
Position Overview The Manufacturing Technician will support manufacturing and assembly operations in a hands-on production environment. The role focuses on mechanical and electrical assembly, troubleshooting, reading technical documentation, and supporting product builds. The team is specifically looking for someone with strong mechanical aptitude who can be developed over time into a long-term contributor. Key Responsibilities Perform mechanical and electrical assembly tasks. Read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and mechanical assembly diagrams. Troubleshoot assembly and manufacturing issues. Work with production documentation including work instructions and assembly procedures. Support manufacturing operations in an assembly-focused environment. Maintain quality and safety standards. Communicate effectively through written communication and email. Experience & Skills Preferred Experience Approximately 2 to 5 years of relevant experience preferred. Looking for candidates who can grow within the organization rather than highly tenured professionals. Technical Skills Ability to read and understand: Technical drawings Wiring diagrams Mechanical assembly diagrams Mechanical and electrical assembly skills. Basic troubleshooting skills. Strong mechanical aptitude. Comfortable working with hands and tools. Preferred Backgrounds The manager indicated flexibility regarding industry experience.
