Job Description

Cargill is seeking a Maintenance Technician I to support reliable, safe operations in our manufacturing facility. In this role, you will perform routine and preventive maintenance on production equipment, conveyors, and plant utilities, troubleshooting mechanical and basic electrical issues to minimize downtime. You'll follow strict safety and food manufacturing standards, document work in a CMMS, and collaborate with operations to schedule repairs. Responsibilities Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production and facility equipment Troubleshoot mechanical and basic electrical issues to reduce downtime Inspect, adjust, and repair conveyors, motors, pumps, and utilities Follow and enforce all safety, LOTO, and food manufacturing GMP standards Document work orders and parts usage in a CMMS system Collaborate with production to prioritize and schedule maintenance activities Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and line changeovers Support root-cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives Maintain a clean, organized work area and proper tool care Participate in ongoing training to expand technical skills and knowledge Required Skills Preventive maintenance Mechanical troubleshooting Basic electrical repair PLC and sensor familiarity Welding and fabrication basics Hydraulic and pneumatic systems Blueprint and schematic reading CMMS/maintenance documentation Industrial safety and LOTOFood manufacturing GMP compliance
