The course focuses on \"An introduction to the principles of shielded metal arc welding and cutting with a plasma torch and oxyfuels. Safe handling and use of the welding equipment, consumables, and safety gears. Basic hands-on practices on various types of welding joints using arc welding cutting mild steel with Plasma torch and Oxyfuel.\" The instructor will be responsible for classroom instruction, lab supervision, assessment of student learning outcomes, and maintaining a safe and effective learning environment.

Minimum Qualifications Associate degree in Welding Technology or closely related field; (Equivalent technical certificate + industry experience considered.) 3-5 years of professional welding experience (fabrication, construction, inspection, or related industry experience). Current welding certifications (A WS or equivalent) in applicable welding processes. Demonstrated proficiency in multiple welding processes ( e.g., SMAW, GMA

W, GTA W, FCAW

). Ability to interpret welding blueprints, symbols, specifications, and applicable welding codes. Strong communication skills and a demonstrated ability to teach and mentor students. Meets state requirements for vocational/technical instructor eligibility at the postsecondary level.
