This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly respected organization where you will become a technical expert supporting all phases of steelmaking and processing, while working on product development, process improvement, quality initiatives, and customer support for critical industries including aerospace, defense, energy, mining, and transportation. In this role, you will provide metallurgical support across the steelmaking process, including melting, refining, casting, thermal processing, and product development. You will work closely with production, quality, sales, and customers to solve technical challenges, improve processes, and support the development of new products and grades. This role would suit a Metallurgist, Process Metallurgist, Product Metallurgist, or Materials Engineer with experience in steel manufacturing who is looking to develop their career within a growing industry leader.
The Role:
Provide technical support across all phases of steelmaking and processing Support melting, refining, teeming, thermal handling, and ingot processing operations Lead product development initiatives and support new product launches Assist customers and sales teams with technical product support Research and evaluate new technologies, processes, and manufacturing practices
The Person:
Bachelor's Degree in Metallurgy, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or related technical discipline Experience within a steelmaking, specialty steel, foundry, casting, or metals manufacturing environment Strong technical problem-solving and root cause analysis skills Ability to work closely with operations, quality, customers, and sales teams Desire to build a long-term career within a leading specialty steel manufacturer
