Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and innovative entry to mid level Mechanical Engineer with a manufacturing background to join our team. This role entails supporting the manufacturing team with designs in SolidWorks for workholding, fixturing, and tooling for complex machine and sheet metal fabrication components. The candidate will aid the shop manager with scheduling and workflow to optimize manufacturing processes to best support the technicians and programmers to meet provided contract deadlines. Your expertise will contribute to advancing manufacturing processes, system integration, and product innovation. Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the Director of Engineering and Manufacturing coordinator to determine optimal workflow in the shop •Assist the Director of Engineering in implementing new equipment and processes to expand company capabilities and best support Manufacturing technicians Develop designs and drawings for fixturing, tooling, and workholding as needed to aid manufacturing technicians for complex machine parts and sheet metal fabrication Collaborate with the manufacturing team to aid in program and file structure to better organize internal systems
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent A combination of experience and training will be considered in lieu of an official degree Proficient in creating 3D models and 2D drawings using SolidWorks CAD 3-5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment Strong communication skills with coworkers Able to accurately read and use measuring devices such as calipers and micrometers Able to manage multiple tasks with minimum guidance after adequate training Intermediate to advanced knowledge of
Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Preferred Qualifications:

$77,500.00 - $84,000.00 per year
