[Position] Die Engineer / Stamping Die Engineer [Summary] A Japanese-affiliated automotive stamping manufacturer in Stanford, KY is seeking a bilingual Die Engineer to support new product introduction, die troubleshooting, process improvement, and tooling-related engineering work. The role is ideal for a hands-on candidate with automotive stamping or die manufacturing experience who can communicate in Japanese and work closely with engineering, sales, and production teams. [Essential Duties] Support new product introductions from concept through full production. Develop, improve, and troubleshoot stamping dies, tooling, and related equipment. Work with Sales/Engineering on tooling changes, process development, and cost-reduction projects. Support die trials, equipment setup, and production problem-solving on the floor. Review product and process feasibility, prepare documentation, and communicate with Japanese-speaking internal/external partners. [Working Hours / Working style] Monday to Friday, on-site. Start time around 6:00 AM, with end time depending on workload. Weekend support is very rare but may be required occasionally. [Working Location] Stanford, KY [Salary / Benefit] DOE, open and negotiable. $60,000-100,000 DOE Benefits include health, dental, vision, short-term disability, long-term disability, life insurance, 401(k) with match, and PTO. [Qualifications] 5+ years of manufacturing/industrial experience preferred, automotive stamping/die manufacturing strongly preferred.
Japanese language ability required:
reading, writing, and speaking for daily technical communication. Hands-on stamping die or die maintenance/troubleshooting experience preferred. CAD/technical documentation and strong problem-solving skills preferred. Engineering degree not required, but a degree is a plus. E-visa transfer/support and green card support are available. Relocation support available.
Pay:
$60,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
