Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

Mechanical Engineer responsible for designing, analyzing, documenting, and supporting automated machinery and custom equipment from concept through factory deployment. Job Requirements Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline. Experience designing automated machinery or custom equipment. Proficiency with SolidWorks. Proficiency with Autodesk Inventor. Experience performing structural simulations and engineering calculations. Experience with tolerance analysis. Experience creating manufacturing drawings, blueprints, and technical documentation. Knowledge of design for manufacturability and mechanical system reliability. Experience supporting equipment through fabrication, assembly, testing, and deployment. Preferred Skills Experience designing automated systems for the automotive industry. Experience designing automated systems for food or packaging applications. Experience with enterprise software platforms used for engineering and manufacturing documentation. Experience supporting new product development and equipment launch activities. Job Responsibilities Design and develop automated machinery and custom equipment from initial concept through deployment. Create mechanical concepts, layouts, assemblies, and detailed component designs. Perform structural simulations, tolerance analyses, and advanced engineering calculations. Develop manufacturing drawings, blueprints, bills of materials, and technical documentation. Support fabrication, assembly, and manufacturing activities. Troubleshoot mechanical design and equipment issues encountered on the shop floor. Modify designs to improve manufacturability, reliability, and equipment performance. Support new product development and machine development cycles. Coordinate mechanical designs with electrical, controls, manufacturing, and other engineering disciplines. Ensure mechanical designs comply with applicable safety standards and industry requirements.
