Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Mechanical Engineer to join our engineering team, driving the development and optimization of mechanical systems and products. In this role, you will utilize your expertise in mechanical design, modeling, and analysis to contribute to cutting-edge projects across manufacturing and product development. Duties Design, develop, and refine mechanical components and systems using advanced CAD software such as SolidWorks and Creo, ensuring accuracy through detailed mechanical drafting and 3D modeling for product design. Conduct tolerance analysis and root cause analysis to troubleshoot issues in manufacturing processes or product performance, implementing effective corrective actions. Create comprehensive mechanical drawings, schematics, and detailed technical documentation adhering to ASME codes & standards. Perform finite element analysis (FEA) to evaluate mechanical strength, durability, and performance of designs under various conditions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical engineers practicing in quantum engineering or automation using Arduino or CNC machines to integrate mechanical systems seamlessly into larger projects. Manage project schedules, coordinate timelines, and ensure timely delivery of mechanical engineering product development projects while maintaining high quality standards. Utilize building information modeling (BIM) tools where applicable for design engineering tasks related to manufacturing facilities or industrial setups. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications are a plus. Proven experience practicing in an industrial or manufacturing engineering role with a focus on mechanical product development. Strong proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, Creo, and drafting tools for creating 3D CAD models and mechanical drawings. Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), tolerance analysis, and schematics for precise mechanical design specifications. Experience with FEA software for structural analysis; familiarity with MATLAB for simulation purposes is advantageous. Ability to perform root cause analysis efficiently and implement corrective measures promptly. Familiarity with manufacturing processes including CNC machining, machine design, and assembly techniques. Excellent communication skills for effective cross-functional collaboration across teams involved in engineering product development projects. $28.00 - $33.00 per hour
