Job Description

Duties Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and systems using advanced CAD software such as SolidWorks and Creo, ensuring precision and functionality. Conduct mechanical drafting and 3D modeling for product design, incorporating tolerance analysis and GD&T standards to ensure manufacturability and quality. Perform root cause analysis on mechanical failures or inefficiencies, implementing corrective actions to enhance reliability. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical engineers, manufacturing specialists, and project managers to align design objectives with project timelines. Utilize simulation tools like FEA (Finite Element Analysis) and MATLAB/Simulink to validate mechanical designs under various operational conditions. Develop detailed mechanical drawings, schematics, and system design documentation adhering to ASME codes & standards. Support manufacturing processes by creating CNC programs, overseeing prototype testing, and refining designs based on test results. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; advanced degrees are a plus. Proven experience practicing in an industrial or manufacturing engineering role with a focus on mechanical product development projects. Strong proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, Creo, Drafting tools, and Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools. Hands-on knowledge of mechanical design principles including tolerance analysis, machine design, and mechanical detail drawings. Experience with engineering product development from concept through production lifecycle. Familiarity with programming languages such as MATLAB, LabVIEW, Arduino, or CNC machining is advantageous. Ability to perform root cause analysis using systematic problem-solving methodologies; excellent cross-functional communication skills are essential. Knowledge of industry standards including ASME codes & standards; experience with FEA simulations and system design tools like Simulink is desirable. Pay:
$80,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
