Type:

full-time Strainsert, a leading manufacturer of precision force sensors, is seeking a motivated and detail?oriented Manufacturing/Mechanical Engineer to support product design, manufacturing, testing, and assembly. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys hands?on work, problem?solving, and contributing to continuous improvement across the production floor. About the Role The Manufacturing/Mechanical Engineer will develop technical documentation, support sensor production, perform inspections, and collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure high?quality output. Work is performed under the direction of the Engineering Manager. Responsibilities Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and customer documentation Collaborate with engineers and production staff to implement manufacturing procedures and resolve technical challenges Analyze customer design proposals and specifications to evaluate feasibility, cost, and requirements Specify system components or recommend product modifications to meet design and performance standards Assist in product design using SolidWorks (part modeling, assemblies, drawings, FEA) and MRP software Oversee installations, operations, maintenance, and repairs to ensure compliance with AS9100 quality standards Perform inspections on machined components, electrical assemblies, and supplied parts Recommend and implement design improvements for product performance and manufacturability Coordinate production activities including material selection, fabrication, assembly, and testing Estimate costs for new products and support technical customer service Interface with all departments and provide supervision to production workers, machinists, and technicians as needed Operate precision measurement tools such as verniers and micrometers Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering 5+ years of mechanical engineering or manufacturing engineering experience (preferred) Proficiency in 3D CAD software; SolidWorks strongly preferred Experience with quality inspections, scheduling, and production monitoring Strong problem?solving skills and ability to work across multiple tasks Familiarity with AS9100 or similar quality standards is a plus Benefits Competitive salary based on experience Health, dental and vision insurance PTO + holidays 401(k) with company matching About Strainsert For over 65 years, Strainsert has pioneered the design and manufacturing of force sensors, including load pins, flat load cells, load bolts, studs, and tension links, using our patented internal gaging process.
