Job Description

A fast-growing robotics and automation company in the Greater Boston area is hiring a full-time Mechatronics Technician to support the assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and deployment of advanced robotic systems used in automotive service applications. This role combines hands-on mechanical, electrical, and automation work across complex electromechanical systems, with exposure to robotics, industrial automation, vehicle systems, and field-ready hardware platforms. The position offers the opportunity to work directly with cutting-edge robotic technology as it moves from prototype development into real-world deployment and commercial scale. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys building and debugging real hardware systems and wants to be deeply involved in the development of next-generation robotics products. The company is looking for a hands-on technician who can work across mechanical, electrical, and software systems while collaborating closely with engineering teams to improve reliability, scalability, and performance. You'll help support robotic deployments, contribute to product improvements, and play a key role in bringing advanced automation technology into production environments. This role offers strong technical growth, direct ownership, and the ability to make an immediate impact in a fast-paced startup environment. Required Skills & Experience Hands-on automotive experience, preferably related to tires or vehicle service systems Strong electro-mechanical assembly and troubleshooting experience Experience reading and interpreting mechanical, electrical, and electronic schematics Experience with wiring, cable fabrication, and cable management Experience performing product testing, debugging, and data collection Ability to work with mechanical fabrication tools and processes Experience working in engineering lab or prototype development environments Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills Familiarity with Linux environments or command-line tools Ability to quickly learn and troubleshoot complex systems Desired Skills & Experience Experience with industrial automation or robotics systems 3D CAD experience using Onshape, SolidWorks, or similar tools Experience prototyping test fixtures or mechanical assemblies Metalworking, machining, milling, or welding experience Familiarity with robotic deployments and field testing Experience supporting customer demos or pilot programs Veteran or military technical experience preferred Strong mechanical intuition and problem-solving mindset What You Will Be Doing Tech Breakdown 40% Robotic System Assembly & Integration 25% Troubleshooting & Testing 20% Mechanical Fabrication & Prototyping 15% Deployment Support & Documentation Daily Responsibilities 80% Hands On 5% Documentation 15% Team Collaboration The Offer Bonus eligible Equity eligible You will receive the following benefits: Medical Insurance Dental Benefits Vision Benefits Paid Time Off (PTO) 401(k) Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis now and in the future.
